  • 4 cups strawberries, fresh or frozen, washed well (see Chef Tips)
  • 3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar, or to taste

Directions

  1. How to freeze the strawberries: Hull the washed strawberries and pat dry. Arrange them in a single layer on a cookie sheet or small sheet pan lined with parchment paper. Pop the sheet into the freezer until the berries are frozen solid, about 90 minutes. At this point, you can roll them off the tray to use immediately, or you can transfer them to resealable bags and store in your freezer for future use.
  2. In a blender, puree the frozen strawberries with the lemon juice and sugar until smooth. Drink immediately.
