Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • ¼ cup pecans, chopped
  • 5 teaspoons honey, divided
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 4 slices of whole wheat bread
  • 1 banana, sliced

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, combine butter, rolled oats, pecans and 1 teaspoon honey.
  2. To cook mixture, you can either spread it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake until golden brown, about 10 minutes at 350 degrees. If you'd rather, you can cook the mixture in a pan over medium heat for 10 minutes.
  3. Toast bread slices.
  4. Divide the sliced banana among the four pieces of toast and spread evenly. Top with the oat mixture. Drizzle 1 teaspoon of honey on top of each piece of toast.
